It has been a day for the unplanned. We planned to leave the campground early but, the break assist broke and the peeps spent a lot of time on the phone with the trailer guys. Then, we all trundled off to Camper World which is co-housed with Dixie RV for further assistance. We all had to go into a waiting area while they checked the breaks. For some reason, I was the only one who had to stay in a box for the whole time. As usual, there was another lady in the room who was "deathly allergic" to cats. We were real lucky she didn't keel right over and she was too. Talk about drama!
Turns out they can't fix the trailer until tomorrow and we had to go off to Calloway RV Campground in Hammond, a private "upscale" park where we were assigned the spot next to the folks that have a flock of ugly geese living with them! They hissed at us when we hooked up and we haven't gone out since. Maybe we can get a picture in the morning but they are sooo ugly, they might break the camera. ha ha
We are hoping to get out of this state and back to the Midwest tomorrow. Hoping for a quiet night's sleep tonight next to the four lane.
That's all for now. Whew. I'm so tired. G'nite.

So, sorry, Butch!! I hope you are keeping warm and soon on your way home. We are wishing you intact trailers, good weather and sun for lounging! Love, Turtle
ReplyDeleteToday we got to sit outside in the sun all day while they worked on the trailer breaks. This the 2nd day of them working on the things called breaks - apparently they are a big deal. My peeps sat outside with me and the other poor saps (who also had their transportation impounded with little hope of it ever being returned). The poor saps came and told me how beautiful I was (as they should). We finally left town about 3:30 and drove until after dark - something about making up for lost time.
